Mexico City, Mexico, September 22, 2022 – Manchester City’s global charity initiative, Cityzens Giving, and Official Water Technology Partner, Xylem, are delighted to announce the expansion of Xylem Water Heroes Academy, a world initiative in ten cities using the facility of soccer to sort out native water challenges.
Since its launch in 2021, Xylem Water Heroes Academy has engaged over seventy five younger leaders and delivered vital water training to more than 6,000 young people in 5 cities: São Paulo, Mumbai, Cape Town, New York City and Shanghai. The expanded community, which now additionally comprises youth-led initiatives in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Cape Coast, Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, aims to positively influence 20,000 extra young individuals over the next four years.
